Skilled Capital update - Funding for infection control and entry into care roles skill sets

Infection Control Skill Sets

The Australian Government and states/territories have agreed to jointly invest in a National Infection Control Training Fund to deliver fee-free accredited infection control training to customer-facing workers.

The training will support Australian businesses to re-open safely following the COVID-19 health and economic crisis, reducing the risk of COVID-19 transmission and improving consumer confidence that it is safe to re-engage with businesses.

Registered training organisations (RTOs) that hold an ACT Training Initiative Funding Agreement and have the newly endorsed infection control Skill Sets on scope will be eligible to apply for this funding.

Skills Canberra will provide further advice on the funding for the four infection control Skill Sets in the coming weeks. Different eligibility, reporting and administrative requirements will apply.

Entry into Care Roles Skill Set

The CHCSS0114 Entry into Care Roles Skill Set was recently added to the Skilled Capital list and can now be nominated by RTOs.

The updated Skilled Capital Qualification and Skill Set list is available on the Skilled Capital page.
