Industry leaders are invited to apply for grants to shape skills reforms

On 3 December 2021, the Australian Government opened stage one of its two-stage grants process to establish Industry Clusters.

Industry Clusters are a key component of the national reforms to the vocational education and training system. Industry leaders can now apply to take up key strategic leadership roles in ensuring that employers and individuals will be able to access the right skills at the right time.

Industry Clusters are groups of aligned industries that will play a strategic leadership role in identifying, forecasting, and responding to current and emerging skills needs and workforce challenges in their industries.

While a nine-cluster model is currently the preferred option, the final number of Industry Clusters will be determined through the grants process. Stage one of the two-stage grant opportunity will be open until 31 March 2022.

To find out more, you can register to attend a virtual industry briefing on Tuesday 14 December at 2 pm (AEDT).
